To be fair, nobody has proved he molested any children. He definitely seemed to feel like he was still a child himself; very messed up, I'll give you that. Money doesn't buy happiness. Or sanity.

BTW, if he really DID molest children, and their parents knew it and took the money rather than following thru with the courts and stopping him from ever doing that to anybody else...then who is worse, the parents or MJ? My money is on a tie.

Let's step cautiously on this one and move back to the fictional world of Alpha Flight Villains...

I just think that villains should be more like ones we would hate because what they do is so reprehensible.

I made up a villainous kind of character named Block ... who is somewhat a take on the character Box ... The person in the suit is STUCK in it though ... and uses victims to POWER him up by sucking them into a cavity in the body of the suit. When he is done with (what would be a dried out husk of the victim) he expels them and grabs another victim. Human batteries. They are not all copper top people though. Ha Ha Ha?

Sorry. I am still not (really) on topic here.

I guess gone are the days when a villain would show up, rob a bank or try to take over the world (REFERENCE TO PINKY AND THE BRAIN---A CLASSIC!). Now it seems that we need to have homicidal maniacs as villians. How I yearn for thew good ol' days.

I have got nothing on Marvel

Went looking up this Mauvais fella online. http://marvel.com/universe/Mauvais A nasty bit of work ... living off of living flesh. I assume in this bio they mean the person is alive when eaten. I must have missed this nasty bad boy when reading Alpha Flight many years ago Brutal stuff ... almost right out of the Creepshow horror genre.

Hmmm. Halloween is just around the corner.

F.Y.I. Mauvais showed up in Wolverine a couple of years back not in Alpha Flight.

    - The Master. I think the Master needs some serious treatment to put him on the level of the likes of Magneto. The fact that he got some action in AVENGERS awhile back helps (and should be followed up, so that it can reference AVENGERS to show him as a more universal villain).

    - Omega Flight. The original Omega Flight was awesome. It reminded me very much of Uncanny X-Men #121 where the X-Men first encountered Alpha Flight. There seemed to be a one off for each character. Definitely loved the original Omega Flight. Though I would not like to see Diamond Lil return to the villain side, as she got a ton of development as a hero later.

    - Pestilence. While I disliked the end result of his storyline (the death of Snowbird), I thought he had an interesting origin and made for an interesting villain.

    - Dream Queen. Would love to see a lot more of her. With as many mystics as there is on Alpha Flight at any given time (Talisman, Shaman, Snowbird) - she could be put to some good use.

    - Witchfire. She got some great coverage in the recent MAGIK series, and they really kicked her up a notch. I would like to see her take on Alpha Flight and kick some serious arse, as she was shown in MAGIK being able to do.

    - The Great Beasts. While they set up Alpha Flight to come back together (in issue #1), I wouldn't want to see them too frequently. (Sort of like how Loki may be responsible if you will for starting the Avengers coming together; he's not a common villain against the Avengers themselves; not even when Thor is on the team).

    - Wrecking Crew. I would like to see them come back for more action (after Acts of Vengeance). They're fun for a smash'em up story. Heck, they could even come back because of their encounter with the newest Omega Flight (which included the likes of Beta Ray Bill).

    New Villains:

    - Graviton: As many mentioned, he's just an awesome villain. Alpha Flight fighting him with echos of Avengers #159 would be awesome.

There's others I am sure, they're just slipping my mind...

Aye, what I mean is AVENGERS #159 is epic. Graviton does some amazing things - like lift a chunk of NYC. And he - single handedly - seems to smack the AVENGERS around. This is very much like what Magneto has done with the X-MEN that's made him such a great villain. He's powerful. He's smart. He's dangerous. AF needs someone like that (and that's why I think MASTER needs to be treated this way) - someone who pulls off some CRAZY things single handedly - and really smacks AF around, to show what a threat the person is - and then have AF come back and win. But they need to be big, bad, intelligent... someone to be respected.

I could live with Graviton being a major Alpha villain.

Wait, I just re-read that sentence, and I HOPE nobody reads that as "Flightpath wants to be roommates with Graviton, because Flightpath is a major Alpha villain"... hehe

With all the issues Canada has been having with Russia over the Arctic Circle, I think a skirmish or two against the Winter Guard would be interesting.
