    Default Amazing Spider-Man 2

PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD SPOILER-FREE; Thank You.

Okay, so, I just got back from the theatre, where I saw Amazing Spider-Man 2. I am curious as to who else has seen it, and what your "spoiler-free" opinions of it are.

As with all the latest Spider-Man movies, one has to get past villains not looking like they do in the comics. Once we get past that...

...I would say that this is, hands down, the best-written Spider-Man story to make it to big-screen that I have ever seen.

And I also think that there are no other actors or voice-actors who can hold a candle to Andrew Garfield's interpretation of Spidey.

Yup, you guessed it; I really like this movie!

If at all possible, however, I would recommend AGAINST sitting anywhere near a woman who loudly laughs, gasps, and sobs at every scene in the movie; very distracting. I'm hoping this woman was handicapped or something, because she was WAY too involved for somebody who can tell fantasy from reality...

    I really enjoyed it!

My first comment was, it was actually in colour! In full colour! Can you believe it? It was mostly set at day, in a realistic world with more than two colours at once!
I want to write Marc Webb a fan letter to thank him just for that.

I think the big complaints that will come out will be that it went on too long, and that the Rhino was underused (considering the trailers).
I can't argue against those things, but I will say I didn't mind. Especially the second - I was beginning to worry that they'd have too many characters.

This one pulled from the comics a lot (though I agree that the characters didn't look like their comics counterparts), and was as much about character as action.

I loved the humour in it, too.

Also (I don't think this is spoilerific), when Harry became Goblin, I finally understood the casting. His face was perfect for that effect.
