I just never got any time to care about any of the characters, and they were all in that constantly efficient, militaristic, machines-not-people mode that I find so dull. With a little 'I'm gonna dump you in battle' humour that just doesn't make up for it, to me. (All the characters in the comics, not just Omega Flight, who had about two panels of air time. I didn't even know who some of the Avengers were).

Spike: I haven't heard any complaints. Well, I have heard a few complaints over the years, but then I just killed whoever spoke up, and that was pretty much that.
    Buffy: He's joking.
    Spike: No, I'm not.
Even though i liked the addition of new Canadian heroes (well, I ASSUME they were Canadian; with Marvel, who knows?!?), i'd have to agree that the issue itself was flat and boring, confusing even. For somebody like me, who had not read the previous 9 issues, basically nothing in this issue made sense for me...I don't like that in a comic. I'm gonna stick with it a few more issues, just to see if the new (possibly dead, possibly not) Omega Flight pops up again, but then i'll drop it like the garbage it is. IMHO, it certainly lacks the entertainment and creativity of Uncanny Avengers, which has quite captivated me.

Uncanny Avengers, you say? I've not been reading it. How good is it? What's it like?

Well, Red Skull is back. Actually, this is the REAL Red Skull, whose brain was hidden away in the 40's and (in Marvel-land) just woke up last week in a cloned body. With his old-time thinking, Skullie decides to launch a war between humans and mutants, and starts his process by messing with the brain of Avalanche and having him attack and kill human people. Then Skullie creates his own army of evil super-powered freaks. And, last but certainly not least, he steals Xavier's body from his tomb, and puts a portion of Xavier's brain into his own head, thereby making Red Skull the most powerful (and most evil) telepath on Earth.

Oh, and the Uncanny Avengers have lots of hatred and mistrust of each other.

A creepy but fun good read!

That tells me what I need to know. Thanks!

It's one of those books that people either really enjoy or hate; at least on the internet anyway.

I enjoy it, and it definitely has an 80's Avengers & X-Men vibe to me.

Omega Flight aren't in the next few issues.

I've followed this series since #1 and I'm loving it, and I've never enjoyed Avengers titles as a whole.
It's definitely got that big epic picture feel to it and I can see why it was confusing to people that hadn't read the previous issues.

When they were re-evolving, and there was a male character with a 'T', and a female with the same symbol, then a horse-like thing with the same symbol again...
Was that one character, two, or three?
Who was it / who were they?

    Thx.

That was three possible evolutions of the same character, as per the other panels.
The character was the new Imperial Guard Smasher

Smasher is a title that has been passed on to hundreds of different people. In the Imperial Guard if one dies, another takes his/her place

Not all the other panels showed only one person, which confused me (eg: the Wolverine one had that character he called 'Eden' in it).

I think I've seen Smasher in the Imperial Guard before.
