I think the lights are from the dance hall. I doubt the blackbird would have wooden supports (take my wife, please, for example).

It's just one of those design elements that gets forgotten. Like Northstar and Aurora's pointy ears. Or the chirality of their costumes. It's sloppy editing. Send a note to the series editor and educate!
