Based on this, I see why. After seeing this clip, I'd really rather Alpha Flight come nowhere near being associated in any way, shape or form, with this movie. I don't want them to become that dumbed-down.

That's kind of what I mean.

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I still say they've had worse.

You say that as an adult though.
There's a big difference between aimed at young children and dumbed-down.

Isn't this preferable to the over-dark, excessively gritty and devoid of fun that everyone's complaining the comics are?

Apples and oranges. This isn't a comic book, this is a movie.

Well, I know I say the same things about comic book movies.

Okay, just watched it. They had me at 'From the Creators of Frozen'.

Though I'm not a huge fan of the whole making people look incompetent at their jobs (or, 'jobs' in this case) style of comedy, I'm suddenly getting a bunch more hope for this one than I've ever had.

Well I saw AF #17 for $30 and 2 copies for $35 as a wall book at the Special Edition Comiccon this weekend in NYC. So wow, Alpha Flight collectible from v2 is taking off!

And that's just a reprint issue! (Mostly.)

Still, it does have the X-Men in it.

I think Rob meant AF 17 volume 2, not volume 1.

No there weren't any Alpha Flight cosplayers. I would have posted a picture! It wasn't a very big show, kind of sparse attendance, which was surprising to me. I did mean AF 17 volume 2.

What did I miss? Why on Earth would Volume 2 fetch 30 to 35 bucks for those issues? Because... I am not seeing it.

Sunfire and Big Hero 6 #1 was their first published appearance. But Alpha Flight #17 volume 2 was chronologically their first appearance.
