It's a 48pg origin story of the X-Men, with all new art, in the painted style of Joe Jusko, and a beautiful new full-page illustration depicting the events of Uncanny X-Men #109 with Weapon Alpha and Wolverine battling it out. The actual art is not by Joe Jusko, but just reminded me of his style. It's pretty darn cool. It's oversized too, appx 8.5" by 11.5"

Scans to come later. Awesome to come later.

It's such a shame the identity of the artist is unknown!

And that the maple leaf on his back is wrong! (Not to nit pick, the image is well done but again the detail that most represents Guardian is done wrong)

Well we got some more good news from Rich Thomas with today's "The Unstoppable Wolverine: An Origin Story" in the same series. Both Mac and Heather appear as themselves. It's a non-continuity story so we also get them in their EM suits. Sasquatch, Shaman and Snowbird appear too! All new art by Val Semeiks although Heather is more of a brunette than a redhead.

Scans to come soon. Meanwhile here is an image of the cover:

I have to say that I'm amazed at how many times artists mess up the leaf on Guardian or Vindicator's costumes...Its not that hard to get it right.

Well, in the Wolverine origin story book, the Maple Leafs look good but that's only to my untrained yank eye.

Yes, but it's not as bad as Youngblood's disease.

Cheers for the heads up on this Rob.
I really liked it, it was a very cute child-friendly origin story and there was definitely more of AF then I imagined there would be.
I liked the fact that it ends with him joining the X-Men too.
