    Yeah, I thought running, too.
Also, much as I want to give Byrne the final word, I always remember his comment on his forum: 'I always wished I could've explored what would happen if Shaman's bag got turned inside out'.
Methinks he's forgotten a thing or two in the last thirty years.

So this morphing power confuses me a tad. The reason given for Marrinas mate not having form was that the original ship was damaged in the crash and therefore didn't imprint the eggs.
    Agreed.
OTOH, she did have shapeshifted blisters, and some (extremely limited) shape changes when she met said mate.

Right...The other thing that confuses me is how can Marrina change into her "leviathan form" anyway? What exactly is that form based on? Plodex need DNA to take a form and Marrina's egg originally used Mrs Smallwood's DNA to take a human form. Just how is Marrina miraculously able to take the form of leviathan (more than a hundred times her own size even) with no "leviathan" DNA introduced and no genetic manipulation? It makes no sense.

Dana, you overlook the obvious. Gladys Smallwood was a mutant that could turn into a Leviathan. Clearly.

That egg was rolling around on the bottom of the ocean for a loooong time.
It just now occurs to me the implications.

I thought all that blister stuff was a hormonal response to odd shaped blobs gyrating in front her, doing the funky chicken.

Driftwood: Well, I got about a foot and a half. Now, it says, uh, "The party of the second part shall be known in this contract as the party of the second part."
Fiorello: Well, I don't know about that...
    Driftwood: Now what's the matter?
Fiorello: I no like-a the second party, either.
Driftwood: Well, you should've come to the first party. We didn't get home 'til around four in the morning... I was blind for three days!

Clearly this interweb thing is a wonderous invention. Want an image of a funky tuna, one quick google, clear up the mess and then get on the PC.

    Phil, you are a wonder.

    Not a Wonder-Twin, 'cause that'd be DC. And not a Boy-Wonder, either. More like...Wonderbread.

As slow as they want. They can even hover if they want to.
Super-speed flight in an apartment would be slower than flight, and allow for navigation.

Are there on-panel references to them hoverig in flight?

I don't know. You're starting to make me think of those slow races that Calvin and Hobbes had.

I hope Phil isn't the boy Wonder Twin, because ugh...
I've read those issues of Titans.

And now I don't read Titans any more.
