You have shamed me into talking about the maxi-series...

    Um...
    Uh...
    Look! There's a three-headed monkey behind you!

So people... do we reckon that this'll be 'Alpha Flight (Volume 4)' or 'Fear Itself: Alpha Flight' ?

Vol 4, since only the first few issues will bear Fear Itself on the title.

Well, Fear Itself #2 is June and that's a 7 issue series, so providing that ships on a monthly basis #1-6 could well be prefaced?

Maybe Alpha is going to pop up with a one-shot, mini or maxi each event?

Seeing as how much popularity Pak and Van Lente have had on other series...this'll be Volume 4, an ongoing series. Spinning out of Chaos War, pushed forward by Fear Itself, then standing on its own due to blossoming popluarity.

That would be kind of cool if they keep of the trend of it actually being Alpha, but I think I'd like it better if they weren't tied down to the event of the month.

But, hey, an Alpha Flight comic is an Alpha Flight comic...
... 'cept all those Alpha Flight comics that aren't Alpha Flight comics...

I think I would actually prefer it this way. Less pressure for the creative team to make up stories if they run out of something interesting to say, less chances of getting sucky filler stories.
Now Showing "Return from LurkWorld 3:Can I Have A Life Please?"

True, true - but also less chance of getting cool filler stories. You have to take risks to get gains. I think others say that better than I do.
Also, under an 'events-only' model, the team could never have their own stories; Alpha Flight would always be literally fighting somebody else's battles.

At least until the Master tries to conquer the Marvel universe in a 12-issue bi-monthly series with 14 tie-in books.
