Thread: Guardian toy question

  1. #1

    Default Guardian toy question

Which of these two do you prefer? as Im going to get one I think (for now).

So Guardian: Legend or Guardian: Universe?

The Hasbro figure is significantly smaller than the Ares figure. So it depends where you are going to display it and the size of any other figures nearby.

The Ares figure has that weird blue shading on it, which looks better from a distance than up close. So it depends where you are going to put him, I suppose.

Is the Universe one akin to a G.I.Joe size?

    EDIT:
Wow looks like getting the Marvel Legends may be more difficult then imagined. No one has it.

I don't know enough about GI Joe to answer your question, sorry. Never had one of those toys.

I'll keep an eye out for the Legends Guardian. If I find one I will let you know!

I found some on ebay (lets see if I actually win it), and found the marvel universe toy, which is cheap so I bought it regardless

I've just got my Legends one via Amazon -- rplass is right, there's way too much of that blue on it (that'd work if they toned it back a lot). Why's Ares get a build-a-figure, but not Sas? Sas is much bigger than Ares!

I'm keeping an eye out for the Hasbro one, haven't seen it yet; any ideas?
(I've looked at my LCS, and in a Wal*Mart yesterday...) I don't know if I'll get to a toy store, but I'll see...

Mine was just under $50... sadly, far from the most I've paid for an action figure in the last month.

Just bought the Marvel Legends one (in its case) for $25 and the marvel universe toy for $8.57 (in its case) on ebay.

Also just bought Marvel two-in-one #84 for $1, and Uncanny X-Men #120 for $16....now I have two copies of UXM #120

... um... about G.I. Joe size. Maybe a tiny bit smaller.

I now have both the Marvel Legends and the Marvel Universe Guardians. Between the two of them, there are a lot of pics of Guardian from the comics.

Does anyone else think it would have been kind of cool if one of them had been by John Byrne?

Well got both in the mail now, and yeah the Legends is better but the MU: Guardian is still pretty cool, but definetly is like a GI.Joe
