Dear Alpha Flight fans. Over the years this web site and user group had undergone several incarnations. The next great evolution for AF.net and AlphaWaves is to merge the two into a full user based entity. Content can be contributed in real time by fans/users, content will be more dynamic and interactive. Site articles and the forum will overlap as one entity. In order to accomplish this, certain software needs to be purchased. Much like the next evolution of the site, I can't accomplish this alone. Though in part it offends my nature to request it, but I need some monetary donations from fans to procure the software, and to migrate the site to a more stable server.

Please use the "Donate" button towards the top of each page to donate through Paypal, any amount you can spare will help, and when the funds are available, we will go ahead. Some of the software I require is on sale for the next two weeks, so hopefully with your help we can get it while it's cheaper, to expedite the whole process.

Users who donate, and inform me of your donations can optionally get a new member rank of "SPONSOR"

I'm looking at about $100 to migrate to a better server, and about $250 for the software. That should cover things off. So about $350 total. I'm so broke these days that I can't cover the whole thing

Hey Ben, just a question. I'm more than willing to donate, but with the server being under attack by some hacker is there a risk of my info being stolen? Maybe a stupid question to those in the know, but I'm an old dog slow to learn new tricks.

No this is not a risk at all. If you click the donate button it takes you strait to paypal, and you are no longer in the web server for AF.net. Also, the existing host has stopped the attacks, and has erected proper protection against the attacks. I've been somewhat displeased with the host I've had a contract with for a while, and am up for contract renewal in January. I will be moving the site before then.

I have been pretty much on this site daily for the last few years.

This is a great site. I have met some excellent people here, and had some really cool conversations.

I would like to thank Ben, as well as any other administrators/moderators, for their hard work in putting together and maintaining this site. I look forward to seeing what comes of the upgrades.

As well, I would like to thank everyone who uses this site, whether casually or habitually (it's like a drug, lol), because without you all this would cease to be a community and become just another dead page.
