I have unanswered questions about Mikey Pointer, and am hoping somebody can set me straight...

So, Mikey never had no supapowers until he was possessed by Xorn, right? So, he isn't a mutant, then? And he only has powers because of Xorn?

Anybody else find it weird and ironic that he can sap the life-force of any mutant he is near to, yet he isn't a mutant himself? Also weird, that he is on a team with Mimic, who can mimic any mutant's powers he is near? Wouldn't Mimic then steal Pointer's powers, which would then kill Mimic? lol - what a way to go, eh?

Your scenario reminds me of a Petrelli - Syler problem.

Dont take this as fact, but Pointer could have been a mutant but just activated when Xorn took over. Sort of like how Scramble touched Manikin when he joined

Pointer is a mutant with a power like Rogue's; he can absorb other mutants' powers. Until Xorn jumped into him along with all the energies removed from the vast majority of mutants during the M-Day event, he hadn't absorbed any and so appeared to be only human. Check out this (click on the link for pointer, yes it has him labeled as Guardian ) as it seems to explain his story. And you'll see he's listed here as a mutant.

Yeah...He's mutant with basically a very unoriginal power. It's like Mimic's power to take on the abilities of mutants near him and it also adds in Rogue's ability to take on their personalities/memories/etc...

Except, it also throws in Rogue's movie ability of draining the victim's life energy too...Groan.
