    I love homages like that, even recently in Death of the New Gods, Darkseid paid homage to an old Loki drawing.

    I've just bought a couple of Byrne gn's: Man of Steel #2 and FF Visionaries #1. On page 17 of the MoS, bottom left hand corner, I noticed a panel that I'm sure I've seen in AF; but instead of Metallo, it was Sasquatch... or Wild Child? (I'll have to scan them in when I can figure out which AF it was...)

    A couple of stories later, when Supes and the Phantom Stranger fought a ghost entity, it felt like a repeat of AF #1.
    (I haven't finished reading the MoS yet, or even started the FF.)
