    Default White Rapids (Rapide Blanc)

Here's an interesting book set in the wilds of 1930's Quebec. Written and illustrated by Pascal Blanchet and based on a true town by the name Rapide Blanc. The artwork is beautiful, and though it has more of a 50's/60's commercial look to my eye, really pulls you out of time to an earlier day.

I think I'll give this one a shot.

Never heard about him, look nice tho. Seems it's a translation. It's already been published by Les éditions de la Pastèque in 2006 and was nominated for some awards.
