Default Aurora and Northstar custom figures

I've been working on this pair for quite a while. I've had Northstar finished for well over a month, and was waiting for my dremel to arrive so that I could drill the necessary hole to mount his head. Aurora's head proved a lot more work, requiring a ton of dremeling, some sculpting and reshaping of the hair in order to even get it to sit on her neck peg. I'm not entirely satisfied with the heads but it's the best I can do without having decent sculpting skills.

I'm perfectly happy with the paintjobs I did on the bodies. I don't think I could have done any better. So here's a little mini-dio kind of thing to show them off a bit. Sorry about the crappy lighting.

In a deep underground lab, Dr. Yano checks on his newest patient

But oh no, the sedatives on Northstar seem to be wearing off!

    "Where am I...?"

"What have you done to me you freak!?"

"I have to find Jean-Marie quickly!"

In another lab not far away...

"Time for another dose my lovely."

    Ew...needles...

    "GET AWAY FROM HER!"

"What happened Jean-Pierre? Where am I?"

Together at last, for the first time in Microman form.

I seriously considered doing the yellow and white costume for Aurora because I actually think it's a cooler design. Since I knew I was going to make Northstar too though, I thought it would make more sense to give them their matching outfits instead. In retrospect I'm glad I did...I think all those fine lines on her yellow outfit would have been REALLY difficult to do well.

Wow. Those boobs on Aurora could take an eye out.
I seriously want the Walter stuffed animal from AF #106. Seriously.

You really have to keep these going, the figures are excellent and the stories are fun to read.

Driftwood: Well, I got about a foot and a half. Now, it says, uh, "The party of the second part shall be known in this contract as the party of the second part."
Fiorello: Well, I don't know about that...
    Driftwood: Now what's the matter?
Fiorello: I no like-a the second party, either.
Driftwood: Well, you should've come to the first party. We didn't get home 'til around four in the morning... I was blind for three days!
