I gotta agree with MM (was it in another thread??) about not liking Mignola when he first came on AF. Hey, I was a wee lad who thought Byrne was the greatest thing since sliced bread
But now, dang, Mignola's work on AF was so nice, I almost wish it was just in Black and White since the color process back then was

~I woke up one morning finally seeing the world through a rose colored lense. It turned out to be a blood hemorrhage in my good eye.
Byrne went to a lot of trouble to -design- a character who was more than just a big walking carpet. Or ball of fur. He wasn't shapeless or lumpy; so all the many artists who've drawn him that way just make me mad. It looks lazy, and insulting to the character.
The ones I like include Lee, Neary, um... a lot of the early appearances.
