Incase everyone has blinders on, I redesigned the entire top of the forum.
I love It!
More tweaking done, this time on the main page. Now it will welcome you with your avatar displayed. If you are not signed in, it will be a defult gues avatar, and at the top you will have a login box beside it.
Next, I'm goint to make the forum assign a default avatar to members who have not yet chosen one.
I know one! the background you use for most avatar + a mapleleaf in the middle and "Alpha" at the top and "Waves" and the bottom, how about that?
Not a bad suggestion, I was thinking the "guest avatar" that I have set up on the main page when people are not logged in, but without the text might work. (to see it, just log out) But I'm thinking more of the code to make a default avatar actually appear...that's the tough part

I'm not sure what you mean Phil, do you mean when you suggested a way to tell when you are logged in? Because that's what inspired the welcome and avatar thingie.

Yeah, love the new forum 'banner' - very cool!
Well, it is the only way I have seen the forum banner but I think it is cool.
