Maybe they'll forget the childs age and she'll just turn up as a teenager when next we see her (remember Laura Dean/Pathway? One issue she was a pre-pubescent child and the next we knew she was a busting out all over!!!!) and be a member of Beta Flight? Obviously she's going to have issues, her mother's a ginger whinger and her father is dead/alive/resurrected/reborn/cloned etc, so plenty of opportunity for storylines there.
What about calling her Pacifier????
It's really sad, too, that that's probably true.
