14. Who is your least favorite Alpha Flight artist?

Whoever did the crappy Dreamqueen story...the colors were dazzling, but they couldn't make up for the weak, blocky-looking pencils.

If I remember correctly, that was Jim Lee. :P

I went back and looked it up...John Calimee was the artist. I'm sure he's talented (you don't get to work for Marvel if you're not), I just really didn't like his style at ALL.

Wow, what a great interview...I'm glad he admits that he wasn't up to par...I don't feel so bad for citing him now (and really, he's absolutely right about his skill as a visual storyteller; despite the bad drawing, it was still quite readable). He seems incredibly intelligent and very reverent of Comics in general. I hope he can regain some level of success in the field now that he is older, wiser, and more experienced. 2. What was your first memory of Alpha Flight? If recent, what was your first reaction? My first memory was seeing them in Infinity War.

15. If you could undo one thing in Alpha Flight history, what would it be? The pairing down of the team just after issue 100 was not liked be me...but something that did more damage would be vol 3, or Bendis killing them.

I would have to say my first 2 comics Power Pack 10 with Marrina and the Deluxe edition Marvel encyclopedia issue 1 with alpha flight in it all I had to go by was their faces besides aurora so I imagined a lot of stuff like puck being tall Damn Mantlo

That is tough but I will have to say both Marrina & Roger Bochs

have to say probably Wyre or Man Bot

Issues 2-4 & 14-16 the origin of Marrina got me into comics at a young age due to power pack so I got the back issues of her saga and tell you what the origin of her broodmate would be a better movie then most horror films these days Byrne was such a great horror writer

Wyre. My contempt knows no bounds. I'd rather be forced to read Northstar and Aurora are half-elves than read anything to do with Wyre.

I don't remember Llan the Sorcerer but he keeps coming up in this thread. Of the ones I do remember well, I hated most of the rogues gallery in Furman's run, but it's not anything specific.

Very hard to say. Anything that Byrne wrote, but it's hard to appreciate knowing he wanted off the book. I loved the World Tour in Lobdell's run.

Wyre and the Secret Empire, without hesitation. He was a weakly-derived Cable who only existed to explain Wild Child's background as his "father" (totally ignoring that he is a mutant) and tying Kyle to an aspect of Marvel that is obscure and hard to take seriously. Really, who cares about the Secret Empire? Kyle would be a mutant, perhaps kidnapped and studied, and the topic of his paternity covered elsewhere.
