As a teenager in the 70s, this was the first X-Men book I had ever read. Up until that point, I had only read The Avengers, but when I saw the cover I was intrigued. To see my country's flag as a superhero costume hooked me instantly, and I have been a Guardian (Vindicator) fan ever since.

I first read Uncanny #120 after I started collecting Alpha Flight - in fact, my first memory of it would be the Classic X-Men cover with Sasquatch's arm grabbing Wolverine and the caption 'And Now... Sasquatch'.

I wasn't even sure I wanted it at the time, since I was a new reader and it wasn't (technically) Alpha. (But I did get it.)
