Yeah, -K-M-, unfortunately, there's way too much in Captain Marvel that can be explained by Did Not Do Research for me to believe they did even the most basic research - beyond character names.
I imagine that's why Sas has never changed back to human - the writers / artists don't know he can. I'm beginning to think we're lucky they know he can talk at all.
A new one hit me on the way to work this morning:
We've been wondering why Alpha Flight is now a space program?
At this stage, I believe it's because somebody read the word 'Flight' and assumed it was the Canadian Air Force. (At least... do we know if the writers know they're Canadian? At this stage, I'm not taking anything for granted.)

So we've been given a reason now? That's cool.
Was it retconned as a reason for the name in the first place?
Which issue of what did we learn this in?
