I'm thinking typo or pun.

Good catch!
She's an Avenger! Very cool!
She's in 4 panels but it sounds like she'll be playing a fairly big part soon.
I hereby award swh_comicguy the official "Eagle Eye Award" for the week of November 19th, 2014 for finding Validator in Avengers #38.
Congratulations!
Thanks! Once I'd read the issue I came directly to the site, as I remember reading Chris's post earlier. I thought for sure there would have been something mentioned about her appearance somewhere. It's nice to know that Marvel can sneak an appearance like this in, even as small as it was, to surprise us once in a while.

If Northstar is in Amazing X-Men #15, then the Star Wars variant is going to be a bit hard to find:

Amazing X-Men having a 32,000 print run with a 1:20 ratio variant will likely be 1,600 copies – thats roughly 1 copy per comic store.
I doubt I'll have a problem getting one but I imagine i'll cost me a fair whack.
Harvester of Sorrows
I doubt I'll be able to get one. Not at any justifiable price, anyway.

A bit more on the covers:

Unfortunately it looks to cut off just before the Amazing X-Men one, judging by the BAMF! so we may see Northstar on it...
That links to a page about the Welcome Home variant cover for Amazing X-Men #15. So there's a regular cover, a Star Wars variant and a Welcome Home cover for #15 so far.
The Welcome Home variants are the Star Wars covers.
The characters are in line to see the new Star Wars film.
Yeah, the 'Welcome Home' refers to Marvel getting the Star Wars licence back.
