I'm in PEI. When I was living in N.S it was the same. I know that we have members in pretty much all provinces, and this is the first I've heard of it. I wouldn't suggest you go to an other shop....

Rich, this is something you should bring up with the comic store that you buy from. I am in Canada, and have never had this problem. I got AF #6 this past wednesday, same as those in the US.
