VERY nice.
Was the framing expensive?
I've been looking at custom mounts lately, as I really want to get some issues up on my wall.

With the relevance it has to AF I had to have it, before it went to a Captain Marvel fan who didn't appreciate the history!
Today my splash page from Captain Marvel #9 by Thony Silas arrived! :D
A few from this weekend (links whilst images are down):
Kris Anka (Captain Marvel, Uncanny X-Force covers)
Tim Fish (Nation X #2)
Rosi Kämpe (Civil War II:Choosing Sides #4, Extraordinary X-Men...
Picked up a few more sketches a couple of weekends back:

From l-r:
Takeshi Miyazawa (Ms Marvel)
Ariel Olivetti (Volume 2 #11)
Georges Jeanty...
The Seagle years?
Nope, never collected again either physically or digitally.
I'd imagine it's more to do with the extra work for Editors and Letterers, and possibly something to do with the digital versions, which are fast becoming the bigger medium.
The issue is, this is an Alpha Flight story.
If you take two panels to explain then that's taking two panels away from the characters whose book it actually is.
If it's not vital to the story you...
It's not vital to the story though, especially in a shared universe.
At the end of the day, as with all collectibles, the figures are only worth what you as the purchaser are prepared to pay.
When the figures came out they were $7.99 per two-pack, so that's quite a...
The Wolverine Legends BAF Puck.
Congrats!
I think I've resigned myself to missing out on that one!
Just a bag & board for me.
I have been pretty slack lately though...
Managed to pick up a beauty on eBay:

Cheers all!
The pieces all came from London Super Comic Con which is probably the biggest mainstream con over here, held last weekend.
The first three pieces were sketches from the show, the last...

A few smaller local cons this month have generated some pretty decent results: https://philsafpage.wordpress.com/2015/09/

A few new sketches up on my site from yesterday:
Mike Perkins & Gabriel Hernández Walta were both at the con so I managed to get pretty much the whole of Marjorie Liu's Astonishing X-Men run...
Between Big Hero 6 and the Inhumans there are some pretty decent throwbacks that Marvel could use later-on.
I'd like to see AF meet Guardians in the near future; that'd be good for the team.
It's hit and miss; some years I come away with nothing.
The Davis/Farmer page was a pure fluke and coincidence, as it was the only one from that issue in his stack.
The internet and Twitter...
So, this weekend I've been at 'London Super Comic Con' which is probably the biggest con this side of the pond, where I picked up the following original pages from Mark Farmer & Ed McGuinness...
Heh, I was being cryptically vague.
I'll post some photos in about 8hrs.
Well, strangely enough both pages were inked by Mark Farmer but drawn by different pencillers...
I picked up a few great guest appearance pages at a con today.
I shall post some photos at some point soon!
(ie. This is to remind you Phil)
My #109, 120-121 & 139-140 (and Classic Reprints) are all signed by Claremont... just not Byrne :(
