Hail, Hail, Rock n Roll
I got storm damage yesterday.
Thought I'd mention it.
I used to have a cover on my patio(?) that meant I could hang out the laundry on a rainy day and not worry about it. The hail just went right through. (There are no pics yet, but it kinda looks like somebody bagged one of Ripley's bugs up there.)
Now, for those who are observant and know that I like to use words carefully, you may've noticed that I started this with 'I got damage', not 'my house got damage'.
I was very nearly home when the hail hit.
Have I ever mentioned that I ride a bike to work? Pushbike, not motorbike.
My arm was SOOO! red today!

Sorry to hear that, Mik. Couldn't hide behind some 'roos?
-
Meh. It was more of an adventure than a problem.
Maybe if I could've figured out where the 'roos were hiding...

I've got a couple of pix now.
I didn't get any of my arm before the welts healed too much to show up on film. So you're spared images of me.
This is the roof of my patio:

(Hey, those aren't leaves! Okay, some of them are leaves. I'm lazy, deal with it.)
I don't normally keep my roof sprinkled on the ground. Normally, it's above the patio, like this:

Looks like somebody bagged one of Ripley's bad guys.

Whoa.
Duck and cover! Glad you made it through that. Sorry 'bout the roof.

Lol! My mum got back from the coast and saw her neighbour's house, but not the roof, and phoned me up at work "I don't get this. The candy is supposed to make you feel all immature and stuff, but I've had a ton and I don't feel any diff-never mind." ~ Xander
to say there'd been a tornado. So your quote is still good.
'sides, hey, Alice Cooper! I ain't complainin'.
