Using the Skrulls to set things right

Here's a way Marvel can give us back the real AF: While true AF was in space, the Skrull infiltrators in the Canadian govt. created their Skrull AF to begin their part of the invasion. Along comes Mr. Pointer and the Skrull govt. people decide that one Collective is better than a bunch of Skrull Alphas. Skrull AF is killed off (pictures of the bodies taken before they revert), the Collective is harnessed for the Skrull empire and when the originals get back from space, they're captured. A new series could deal with the original AF "cleaning up" the Skrull mess. What do you think?

Outside of the fact that the dead AFers didn't turn back into Skrulls, it would be an easy sell. After all, the AFers went to space, easy for the Skrulls to know that. So while AF is gone they send in copies loyal to Skrull worldliness but Pointer kills them, they go, "Big deal, we can make more," and decide to regain the bodies before anyone does an autopsy.

Someone more imaginative than me can do better. :oops:

I had an idea how to bring them back without needing Skrulls.

After Secret Invasion ends, Snowbird, Sasquatch and Talisman seek to ressurect AF by approaching the Northern Gods, but are rejected. They then decide to find a cosmic cube to do it. Talisman uses her powers to lift the restrictions on Snowbird so she can leave Canada, and the three of them go to find other AF'ers like Aurora, Madison Jefferies, Diamond Lil, Wild Child and Persuasion. I was thinking Nemesis could even be drawn back to the world of the living to help them, maybe Eartmover could join them, or even possibly Wyre (especially to help find Kyle).
As they go around the States finding their friends, they occasionally come into conflict with Initiative groups and villains alike. Each time they find one of their friends they add to their ranks, and come closer to direct confrontation with US authorities.
Finally, they go to find a cosmic cube (I believe there is one showing up in Captain America's book right now) with Iron Man's blessing and use it to revive the team. In the end some heroes stay, some retire, but no matter what AF is back.

Talisman could resurrect them herself, without the Northern Gods or a Cosmic Cube, she just needed the training and experience...Shaman mentions this in Alpha Flight Vol 1. #24. She's also probably not aware that she can do it.

I don't know...It might make for an interesting sort of "quest" mini. Talisman (joined by Snowbird, Sasquatch, Aurora and Northstar who protect her from the evil forces bent on keeping Alpha Flight dead) is guided by the spirit of Shaman on a quest to resurrect their family and friends.
