Oh those are too cute!
They are very cool, an other great collection (that looks to include some on the site you posted) is http://jerome.galica.free.fr/marvel/...lphaflight.htm
Some of those cheekbones are sharp enough to cut yourself on!
They're all crazy-like, I love them :D
These have become quite the popular passtime for some folks, there are sites out there filled just with the "nude" templates, that you can basically paint as you would, or alter as you would to make your favorite hero. It looks like fun, I'd play around with it, if I didn't already have enough AF stuff on my plate :) However, if anyone wantes to try their hand at it, it might be fun!
I found a good site full of templates for those interested :)

Gah! They look like evil little bobble-head dolls!
Suzene
Gotta love em'
Ok, so I couldn't resist trying my hand at one of these little guys! I think there may be a few folks swooning over this one ;)

LOL - very cool! Now if we could just animate him to strip and pour maple syrup over his chest then I think a certain member here would be even happier :wink:Quote:

yah, they are pretty spooky at first! The really scary thing is, I'm having a blast makin' these funny little creatures!
Here's my next one:

VERY cool! Maybe you should submit them to the site and he can add them to the Marvel A-Z that he has? (Just looking at them now - less complicated than actually making them myself I think!).
I would submit them, but it says on the site that it's heroes as of 1987 in the Marvel U.... I'll just toss them up in the galleries of AF.net eventually.
They really aren't hard, and quite fun to see them come together!
What programs are you using to customize these things. I'd show ya what I did to them in MS Paint but I'll save your eyes the strain. :)
I'm using Paint Shop Pro. You can download a trial version at http://www.jasc.com
I'm sure you could do it with mspaint, but having the ability to have multiple layers makes it WAY easier.
Here's my latest...I guess since I'm this far in, I might as well do all of the new Alpha flight :)

I just had a crazy thought...
I'd actually PAY someone with enough expertise with the Micro's to do a complete Micro remake of an AF iss. I don't care which one, but I'd love to see it...
... which I had that much expertise...
how about AF vol.1, #6 ;) heh heh
Weee, this one was tough! had to use bits and pieces of a bunch of different templates to make the body, and had to draw the legs by hand...er by mouse that is.

Ohhhh Yukon Jack has the look of Llan the Sorcerer! *shudder*
How does he look like Llan?
Something about his eyes I think... he looks kinda evil!
He's got a head, two arms and two legs, he also has eyes, thats always a giveway.Quote:

Those little characters do look cool. Can you do a Snowbird?
Hi Richv1, welcome!
I can indeed do a Snowbird, and will eventually I'm sure. My big task now is to do Sasquatch, he's making my head hurt. After that I'll do some more of the core members

... as long as the file's small enough, I don't see why not (I keep getting told my avs are too large whenever I change them... hence why I use this one)Quote:

Actually, if you go to the Avatar loading page, where ben has so nicely added several pre-concieved avatars, Ben has actually been nice enough to include a few Micro avatars for your enjoyment! (Just saw them when I was browsing)
I have the Avatar size set to 75x75 pxls. As Allan mentioned, I did make some avatars out of these little guys. It doesn't show thier whole body, but it does the trick. Enjoy! :)
Ben
I found my own avatar the 19 year old Guardian looks pretty good. And I see I might be able to draw my own or make one from other pictures.
They're looking really good, Ben!

You can tell I changed mine to Marrina I liked her. Maybe marvel could bring her back. You do have some nice avatars here.
I'd hazard that we are likely to see a very active Marrina, within the first six issues of Vol 3. :P
Why would you hazard that guess?
Firstly, the solicits have mentioned 'The Plodex' and there's the tiny figure on the last page of #1. After discussion, the conclusion was that the figures represented two further recruits for Sas's flight, Snowbird and Marrina.Quote:

Getting out # 1 well I am looking at the last page. You mean the blue figure with the big eyes that could be Marrina and Snowbird with the white dress. If so they sure changed their costumes. Anyway I want them both back.
