Of all the AF Volumes, which do you think had the worst cover of all time? and if that issue was to go back into reprint, who would you pick to redo it?

Vol. 1, issue 73 comes to mind as yet another example of John Calimee's mostly forgettable run on Alpha.
I think someone like Nick Bradshaw could take this cover and make it pop.

Numerous covers by Tom Morgan and Bruce Patterson were crappy and, from cover to cover, AF #106 (Northstar's coming out) was hideous.
I agree with Zephyr that Calimee's layouts were very good.
And I'd call his art a lot of things - but forgettable is not one of them. (Even if I remember it for all the wrong reasons! :))
Mekko - what's your answer?
I'd like to see volume 5 #2 in colour someday. The artwork is fine, but when everything is so orange that you can't even see Sasquatch when he's in plain sight, something's wrong.

Something's always bugged me about the cover to #83; the colouring just doesn't work.
I found the cartoonish style to be a relief after Calimee - but only as a one-off.
I would have to go with 126. looks like a cover that went on a acid trip while using letters from early Sat morning commercial for cartoons. I also looked at #83, Talisman just doesn't look right.
Yeah, 26 is a good choice for a re-covery.

I like the cover to #41, but the others are random, anonymous 'could be anything' covers. Not really what one looks for in a comic cover - the part which should make you want to buy the book.
(The others are not unlike 'this is not the Dark Crystal' movie posters: the only thing it tells you about the movie is that it has humans in it.)
Completely countering what I just said, I'm thinking it'd be cool if somebody re-did every 10th cover to be just a close-up of somebody's face, to continue the tradition from #10, #20, and #40.
