So, yah, looks like I'm finally back online properly....I have dialup until the 23rd, then High Speed! Yay! For those who have no idea who I am...well...I'm Ben...I made AF.net and this forum....but not without the amazing support of my friends, and fellow lovers of AF....
about me...I'm a 30something guy with a wife and a kid....life is great, not so conducive to comic-geek dome as it once was. Time, money and life have put me out of the loop that I once embraced so dearly.
So, here's what I"m putting up.... my ability with scripts and codes, vs. your knowlege in what has happened in the AF world in the past few years.
I've been lucky to have Phil Alan an Del at my back lately. They are GOLD! I wanna put it down that I have had some serious plans for the whole AF.net family for some time, but have not had the leisure to execute my ideas.
What I want from you: For now, PLEASE send me some scans of recent appearances, I am WAY out of touch.....I'll research a little more to update some simple features on the site, but SCANS will help me lots....for now....
Let me tell you what I want to do eventually....
I see AF.net, Alphawaves, and the currently less-than-functional alphanex morphing into an all inclusive fan site. Over a year ago I began development on the scripts to do this, but lost my internet access...due to geography/****-service. From the looks of it, I'll have to start from scratch, but the plan is in motion. Some day I dream of of self sufficient AF community, that will constantly draw others in to our fold...
I took over the management of the Alphawaves mailing list when it hit about 20 members. Now this forum has almost 500 members, and will keep developing into a fan base that Marvel can't ignore....
So bear with me guys, I've got a plan, and want your help....
