I was born in Duntocher (part of Clydebank now) in Scotland and grew up in the South of England. I became interested in Alpha Flight in 1985 when I was in my teens and my elder brother (now sadly passed away in late November 2013 at age only 50 years) gave me Alpha flight #24 amongst many Marvel comics including x-men. This started me off my interest in comics and especially Alpha Flight. Then I managed to obtain back issues, though I lost my original comic collection of Alpha Flight #1-50. I stopped reading Alpha Flight after issue 50 though. I once again got a few original back issues of AF vol. 1 very cheaply incluidng AF #1=8 then bought Alpha Flight classic #2-3 My favourite and best Alphans are Guardian and Vindicator/Heather (until she betrayed Alpha Flight, though).
