I guess you read the unpublished article. "Alpha Flight" is a property of MARVEL, was a property, and will now always be a property. As much as it would be nice to think that the creative team has good control over the characters they write about, it's usually the editors who have the real control. The industry usually shows disdain for "fandom", going out of its way to change story(lines) when fans guess correctly what's going to happen. MARVEL should know how close they were/are to bringing Alpha Flight back to its heights of glory---it could even surpass it, if they wanted to---and how they are close to squandering its best opportunity. If MARVEL gets people to pre-pay for one thing, but gives them something else, that is not a good omen.
