• More Avengers #10 Pages Previewed

Marvel have released a preview of more unlettered pages from next months Avengers #10 by Jonathan Hickman and Mike Deodato, the issue that features Omega Flight.

Marvel is pleased to present your first look at Avengers #10 as superstar artist Mike Deodato joins blockbuster writer Jonathan Hickman! When the Avengers learn that the Canadian super team, Omega Flight, have found themselves in the middle of a Garden Origin site – the Avengers must spring into action for a rescue mission like no other. But do Earth’s Mightiest know enough about the Garden to push back their growth over the Great White North?

Each issue of Avengers includes a code for a free digital copy on the Marvel Comics app (for iPhone®, iPad®, iPod Touch® & Android devices). Additionally, each issue of Avengers features special augmented reality content available exclusive through the Marvel AR app – including cover recaps, behind the scenes features and more that add value to your reading experience at no additional cost.

This April, Hickman and Deodato show readers why “adaptation” is the scariest word in the Marvel Universe – only in Avengers #10!

Canada has their own giant Hellicarrier? Interesting.

Also seems they changed the coloring of a previously released image:

Yeah, the re-colour is sort of odd.

I'll wait for the issue before annointing that thing in the picture as Canada's giant Hellicarrier. It looks like a Shield Hellicarrier on the right, a small Canadian shuttle in the middle, and a larger Canadian shuttle (or maybe even a satellite?) on the left (to me). We'll see, though.

Dunno if it's worth starting a new thread over it but

In Avengers #9 out today, there's a single panel cameo of this team. The caption puts them in Regina Canada. I love the coloring for the Vindicator-type (is it Heather, or Aurora? Looks more like Heather, dunno). It's red/white, not like the preview pages above, and the Guardian-type fellow is colored red/white also.

I'm glad of that. I didn't like the grey colouring for the Canadian flag character.
      Is anyone surprised?

Yeah, I noticed that today as well, though truthfully not until after I had read your post. I still think the woman looks nothing like Heather. As for the male, he looks to be a completely different guy than we saw in the Avengers # 10 previews.

On a completely different note, Vindicator's battle-suit gets a mention in Savage Wolverine # 3, where Amadeus Cho lets us know that his suit (yes, his actual 'suit') was designed after the same tech that Vindicator created the battle-armour from. With massive upgrades, of course.

... except Vindicator usually means Heather, and it was Mac who created the tech, but Mac has gone by Vindicator before and now I've gone all cross-eyed...

My mistake. In re-checking the issue, i see that it is actually Amadeus Cho's suit's fibers that are the same as those used in the Vindicator suit, not the actual technology. At least now I know that the Vindicator battle-suit (I'm thinking this refers to the original suit, the one Mac made and wore, and the one he started out being called Vindicator while wearing) is/was made from "hyper-dyne fiber", which I wasn't aware of before now.

It is a nice little mention of an Alpha member; Frank Cho did not have to include that, but I am glad he did.

As an aside, i cannot believe that the spell-checker is forcing me to spell "fibre" as "fiber"...*sigh*

Okay, is it just me, or is this "hyper-dyne" thing new? I've never heard of it before. Almost wondering if the mention should be included somewhere in our database, as confirmation of what material Mac's suit is made from?

Pretty sure I've never heard of it... but it does sound disturbingly similar to Cyberdyne, and we don't want to mess with that.
