Synopsis: The Flight returns from the Microverse to find Dept. H under attack by the Zodiac. Disorganized, they attack and are beaten back, with Haddock and Murmur badly hurt. Sasquatch savagely attacks the Zodiac, while Scorpio finds what he was after: a huge steel cube in Haddock's lab. Volume 2 Issue 12 Detail
Northstar returns to his sister's school; it has burned down, and Aurora is inside, mad, pretending to be a teacher.
Chaos reigns in Dept. H, and the Flight fails to have a plan, and the Zodiac ports around, striking at will. Manbot takes Flex to the 13th floor, where he can monitor the entire building. Radius and Sasquatch are cornered by the Ooze, a huge biological mass the Zodiac found in a lab. Sasquatch saves Radius by lifting him up, allowing the Ooze to eat his flesh to the bone.
Mac and Puck trap half the Zodiac in their training room and learn that Gemini is Jeffries; they then port away. Radius and Sunfire destroy the Ooze. Heather follow Clarke, who says Zodiac has sabotaged the nuclear reactor. He tries to stop it but is killed by the radiation.
Manbot realizes the Zodiac's purpose: to steal the Nth Projector (Marvel 2-in-1 58 ) and cause a rift in space.
Heather's suit nearly overloads absorbing all the reactor's radiation, but she is able to prevent it exploding. The Flight rushes to her side, allowing the Zodiac to escape.
