Synopsis: Alpha Flight is having trouble with public relations again (Knapp mysteriously ill; Heather distancing herself from the press).
Kyle goes to Montreal to get Nemesis's help in finding his past. He is attacked by the Children of the Night and tracked by Kane, who works for a secret Dept. K. Kyle restrains his animal impulses, and is wounded and chained near Nemesis. They are both captives of Rok, whom Wild Child had once scarred, and who has taken leadership of the Children from Nemesis and uses them as his own army of assassins. He takes up Nemesis's sword and is about to kill Kyle when Kane intervenes. Together they down Rok, but they Wyre shows up.
Witchfire, feeling responsible for Knapp's wounds (see iss. 114), starts a mystical journey to save his life.
