A few random things:
- When DC brought back Hal Jordan to be Green Lantern, the story made sense, the art was good, and characters made sense. It brought back Jordan as a hero and the true Green Lantern, though John Stewart would've been a good choice for 'Rebirth' too.
- Blackest Night looks like it'll deliver on it's hype. See how well Johns can pull it off, so far the Green Lantern stories seem to be making fans happy, even if new characters must die to forward the plot. Should be an interesting storyline, see how or even if they resolve the Blackest Night War.
- Flash: Rebirth is pretty sad. Barry Allan was always a dull character and the storyline making him Black Flash makes more sense than making him come back as the Flash. Wally West has a personality, Barry Allan is just like Jordan, might as well call him Jordan. When Jordan was brought back it was to invigorate the character; Allen is dull and boring compared to West, and West's Rogue's Gallery made for a lot of good stories. Fanboys of Allen will make Flash sell OK but not in the long run without Wally as the Flash
- leave Jean Grey dead.
- Leave Pointer in the States as Weapon Omega.
- we need Alpha Flight back, who cares about clearing up continuity. Simply say Pointer murdered the originals, there may be Plodex on Earth but Marrina is dead, Sasquatch and Arachne can reform Department H and Alpha Flight, a true Guardian is essential (maybe a new suit design), no mutants on AF this time but characters who share a common thread (except Arachne).
- Dark Reign is so repetitive, the same stories over and over again: Bullseye is a sadistic mass murderer, and? Venom is too, and? Namor and Doctor Doom have egos bigger than the planet, and? Osborne is basically insane, violently so, and? I mean, tell a story for a change!! Move the story forward! So Ms. Marvel is not really dead anymore and is fighting Moonstone for the title, that's dumb but it's at least a story. Every evil supporter of Osborne has their own plan/agenda, OK, so where are the conflicts with Osborne's plan, why hasn't he killed Bullseye and Venom and brought in others already, like he did with Thunderbolts? Dark Reign is treading water until either someone leads the fight to the Goblin or real war erupts within Goblins ranks. Red card for time wasting.
- speaking of Thunderbolts, why is it so much better than all of Dark Reign put together? Is it Ghost??
- That was a pretty lame way to bring back Captain America. Doing the Batman: Rebirth before DC does it? Lame.
